San Marcos, TX— Texas State University's School of Theatre, Dance, and Film presents Guys and Dolls, running April 14-19, in the Patti Strickel Harrison Theatre.
 
Based on the stories of Damon Runyon, Guys and Dolls is a timeless tale of big-city gamblers and the women who love them. The show follows the unlikely romance between high-stakes gambler Sky Masterson (Eric Shawn) and mission worker Sarah Brown (McKenlee Wilson), as well as the long-time engaged couple: Nathan Detroit (Mia Kaplan) and his showgirl fiancée, Miss Adelaide (Jackson Wood). With unforgettable characters and a compelling storyline, this Tony Award-winning classic continues to captivate audiences of all ages.
Directed by Tom Delbello, with choreography by Julio Catano-Yee and Cameron Monroe Thomas, and music direction by Spencer D. Hansen, this beloved musical transports the audience to the vibrant streets of 1950s New York City. Audiences will instantly recognize classic, lively numbers like "Luck Be a Lady" and "A Bushel and a Peck."
