Texas State University School of Theatre, Dance, and Film (SoTDF) presents Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, April 21–26, 2026, in the Patti Strickel Harrison Theatre.

Under the direction of Aaron Brown, with choreography by Julio McPherson-Catano, and music direction by Spencer D. Hansen, this beloved musical breathes new life into one of the most enduring fairy tales.

Cinderella tells the story of Ella, a young woman forced into servitude who dares to dream of a better life and ultimately transforms her destiny through courage, kindness, and resilience. First aired for television in 1957, starring Julie Andrews, the musical appeared on Broadway in 2013 with a new book by Douglas Carter Beane, who added contemporary humor and new characters while retaining classics like “In My Own Little Corner,” “Impossible,” and “Ten Minutes Ago.”

The production stars Brooke Cox (Ella) and Caleb Sporrer (Prince Topher), alongside Caroline Davenport (Marie, the fairy godmother), Joe Schindler (Jean Michel), Ella Reily Knudsen (Gabrielle, a stepsister), Amaya Adams (Charlotte, stepsister), Ronisha Reneus as (Madame, stepmother), Kevin Bowman (Lord Pinkelton), and Ian Yamada (Sebastian).

The ensemble includes Kyra Archuleta, Sophie Beck, Mackenzie Crimmins, Samantha Dejbakhsh, Kyler Huyse, Gigi Kohl, Jerard Mosley II, Jesse Ray McBride, Liz Olaribigbe, Kenya Perry, Abbigayle Scott, Jhalena Sulcer, Luz Tellus, and Titan Thomas.

Design and production elements feature scenic design by Cheri Prough DeVol; costume design by the guest designer Susan Branch Towne; hair and makeup design by Allie Hildebran; lighting design by AJ Rose; sound design by Kaelyn Miller; technical direction by Colin Shay; and production stage management by Jessie Flam.

Cinderella runs April 21–26, 2026, with evening performances at 7:30 p.m. from Tuesday through Saturday and matinee performances at 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
