Campers will be dropped off at the designated time/location each morning, and picked up at same location in the afternoon each day. Why did the camp format change?
Due to several unforeseen and intersecting factors-including adjustments to facility availability, unexpected staffing changes in our overnight supervision team, and cost increases for summer camp housing- we have made the difficult but necessary decision to restructure the previously overnight camp into a day camp format. This means that we will offer a one-week 2nd-8th grade camp session July 6th-11th and a one- week high school camp session July 12th-17th from 8am-4pm with an extended hours option from 7:30am-5:30pm. The cost for the one-week session will be 500 dollars. We are committed to maintaining the high quality of the artistic training and performance opportunities originally planned. Students will participate in morning workshops and afternoon rehearsals for a devised production, which will be free for family and friends to attend on the last day of camp. We will have updated information on our Bobcat Theatre Camp website shortly.Applications for the day camp will open on January 1st and the link to the application will be available on the website.Thank you for your understanding and patience as we navigate this restructuring process. For more information or questions about this upcoming summer, please email theatrecamp@txstate.edu
